Knight School
Historical Swordplay & Skills (Year 5+)
Knight School is a flexible before-school, lunchtime, or after-school club designed for students in Year 5 and above. The club introduces children to the fundamentals of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) in a fun, structured, and age-appropriate way.
Through engaging and interactive sessions, students explore historical swordplay and movement while developing physical fitness, coordination, confidence, teamwork, and self-discipline. Alongside physical skills, Knight School encourages critical thinking and an interest in history.
Sessions are suitable for all ability levels, and no prior experience is required. Safety is a top priority: all activities use age-appropriate training equipment, follow clear safety rules, and are fully supervised.
Stage Combat Club (Year 5 +)
Schools may also choose to offer an optional Stage Combat club, which can run independently of Knight School as a morning, lunchtime, or after-school activity.
Stage Combat focuses on choreographed, performance-based movement inspired by theatre and film. Students learn safe weapon handling, timing, spatial awareness, and collaborative performance skills, helping to build confidence and creativity.
As with Knight School, all Stage Combat sessions are age-appropriate, closely supervised, and delivered with a strong emphasis on safety and control.

We believe high-quality martial arts education should be accessible and affordable. Our Knight School HEMA Club is competitively priced and designed to offer excellent value for both students and families.
Our standard school club fee is £90 per child for a 10-week term, which includes:
